T 8 Nerf

Druid Tier-8 Healer 4-Piece Set Bonus: The amount of healing this set bonus grants on the initial cast of Rejuvenation has been reduced by 50%. In addition, this set bonus no longer has strange interactions with Harold’s Rejuvenating Broach.

Well… it’s coming.  My first thought was: That Sucks!  My second thought was: Oh well, by the time they get it out I’ll have T9.  My third though was:  Wait?  This could happen in the next couple weeks?  That Sucks!

Well… I know the T8 bonus is good, but how good is it?  How much of my healing does it actually do?  I jumped into my World of Logs files for last week to have a look.  For these fights, as with all fights really, I was raid healing.  I tried to pick fights that were new, or that were challenging, because I know we can all slack a little bit sometimes when things become toooooo easy!

Boss   —> % of healing that is Rejuvenation (not counting set bonus) —> % of healing that is T8 bonus

Algalon —> 52.5% —> 10.5%
Faction Champions —> 48.9% —> 16.7%
 XT (heartbreaker) —> 61.8% —> 11.8%
Northrend Beasts —> 49.5%  —>12.6%

As would be expected, the percentage is slightly lower on fights like Algalon and Heartbreaker where you are literally pre-HOT spamming everyone, and slight higher where you are more likely to cast rejuvenation after you see the damage.  BUT this being said, even on the “low” number fights, it’s still accounting for over 10% of my healing.  This change will defiantly make this bonus less OP.  The question is, will it be worth upgrading to T9 one piece at a time and breaking my bonus, or will I still want to wait till I have 4 piece T9 bonus to break my 4 piece T8 bonus!  I guess we’ll see when it’s out!
