Blood Prince Council
Last night I got to do Blood Prince Council not once, not twice, but three times! I did it on 10 and 25 with my druid, and again on 25 in our alt run on my little shaman. I have to say, it’s one of those fights that just seems to “click”… kind of like Professor Putricide. Once everyone gets it, it just goes off without a hitch. Also, a note about the achievement… it seems to be one of those “if we do it right we get it” kind of achievements that you shouldn’t have to aim for, it will just happen.
On this fight you normally have three tanks. Prince Valanar and Prince Taldaram will each have a traditional tank. We played around with the idea of having them both tanked by one tank on ten man and I definatly think that would work, but we didn’t want to waste too much time messing around with it. Taldaram (aka Edward Cullen) casts sparkles and needs to face away from the raid.
Prince Keleseth will be tanked by a ranged tank, who will gain shadow mitigation by kiting the Dark Nucleuses all around the room… don’t get meleed by him! Make sure that all of your DPS (other than your range tank) ignores these, because your tank will need them to survive attacks. In our ten man and twenty-five man we used a warlock for this, however in our alt run we were able to do it with a paladin. Whatever works for your group!
You also need a ranged dps (or a few in 25 man) assigned to keeping the kinetic bombs up in the air. If one of them touches down it’s bad news!
He casts fire balls at people, that do a little AOE when they hit. If they are empowered you want people between the ball and the person it’s going to hit to draw it’s power, so when it hits it doesn’t hit hard.
There are shock vortexes (white circles) that you need to avoid, and empowered shock vortexes that the melee need to get the heck out of!
Always DPS the person with invocation of blood (the one with health!)
So… yep, there is a lot of stuff going on in this fight. What do you need to know as a healer? For starters, you want to try to stay at max range, so you don’t have to worry about the empowered shock vortexes. It’s also a good idea to stay spread out, however make sure you can still reach all your tanks. Avoid white circles on the ground (they sorta spiral up, you’ll see in the video) and ignore the big purple balls… you might aggro one but it won’t hurt you, just wait for your range tank to get it off of you. If you have an empowered fire ball coming at you, try to kite it over the raid. Once you get your positioning and moving figured out, its pretty much a HoT the tanks, spam the raid sort of fight.
Here is a video of our 10 man kill. I probably shoulda used the 25 man kill video because I don’t screw up in it like I do in this one… LoL… but I think you can really see what’s going on better the fewer people who are running around!!
BTW, the shaman wanted me to mention his name is Piptooth. *shrug*
So there you have it, pretty easy fight once you figure out all of the gimmicks! I don’t have to work tomorrow so I’ll try to have a Queen post and video up for you as soon as humanly possible

OMG your movies are always my favorite to watch, best music! Thank you Angela!!
FINALLY! Videos with EXPLANIATIONS from the tree side! TankSpot is great to tell you how to tank the boss, but who knows what all that stuff is that’s flying around or if it’s a rejuv heavy fight. I’ve bookmarked your site and I’ll be back – OFTEN!
Love being a tree!!!
Thank you for the video and explanation! I try reading other strategy pages, but they don’t seem quite as useful to me as a resto druid! My raid team is finally getting to this content and this video helped me immensely!
Hello. I went through the content and also think that the recommendations you might have specified is simply superb and yes it will be a disgrace to never let you know. Kind Regards, Samuel
