Hacked
I woke up this morning to an e-mail telling me that my password had been changed. It had. I armoried myself, and I’m no longer on my server. Brilliant. Shame on me for not using my authenticator, I know. But still… not a great way to start the morning is it? Anyway… I put in an email ticket, call center isn’t open yet. I have to go to work now, I guess I’ll call when I get back. So not happy. Send positive vibes my way! I could use em.

Oh no! This has happened to several of my guildies in the last few months, and they’ve always been restored just fine within a few days to a week. They also wiped our guild bank and that’s all been restored, as well. It’s a big pain but you should end up being OK with a little time.

When I was hacked, an e-mail ticket was sufficient, because it was from my bnet e-mail account. No phone call required. However… I’d recommend you go into your e-mail that you use for bnet login and change the password to that e-mail account, just to be safe.
So not cool. I got hacked once when Blizz changed the login server over to battlenet. 3.5 secs later I ordered the authenticator.
Blizz was cool about it all. gave my crap back and all after they did their investigation. Got to meet some REALLY cool people on the realm that helped me out till then.
On a side note, it REALLY helped me clear out my bank though. ALL that stuff that I have been stuffing in there and forgetting about I finally had to deal with once I got it back.

Good luck, in one of the guilds my alt is in 10 out of 30 people are currently dealing with being hacked. I’m guessing it’s due to Cata information being on potentially compromised sites that’s causing this explosion.
2 of our raiders were hacked within the span of 3 days. Now our progression is crippled as they are key members of our raid.
In any cases, good luck. If you don’t have an authenticator, consider a mobile authenticator if you have an smartphone.

I recon you’ll be using the authenticator from now on? 
Its mad the last few month, I keep hearing stories of people getting hacked. even my brother found his char naked a few weeks ago and we had about 3-4 peeps in guild.
authenticator is one thing (probably the best) also keep your pc clean (malware scans, normal scans, keep firewall updated and set up the way it suites you best) if you don’t have an autenticator or haven’t set him up yet try copie/paste you pass (make the text file on an other pc and transfer it to your main wow pc) its not perfect but it should counter keyloggers
you can (if possible) play wow on one pc and use a laptop/pc for the rest.
i’m sure you’ll find that blizzard takes this very serious, you should be able to play soon and feel like it never happened.
if you get hacked is mainly because you left a ‘backdoor’ open somewhere.

/comfort m8! It happened to me two times in one week. It doesnt feelt good at all thinking that some one hacked you and your pc feels “open to the public”. Well anyways, I hope you get it sortet.

Bummer. Sorry to hear of your troubles. About a year ago my daughter got hacked and her toons were wiped, everything stolen. The good news was the reaction of the guild. Within a few hours she had more gear and gold than what she lost and everyone was helping her to power level another toon. It took several days but blizz did restore her toons and gold along with several pieces of gear but a lot of it was not retrieved. So chin up all is not lost! Let us know the outcome.
